6th Beer Race

Don’t miss it!

The Cursa de la Cervesa is a 10 kilometer race, starting and ending at the Montseny Brewery Company in Sant Miquel de Balenyà (RENFE Station: Balenyà-Tona-Seva). The race passes through different areas defined as Pre Parc Natural del Montseny.

It is a race with time control, there will be prizes for the first 3 classifieds, both in the female and male categories.

It is an ideal cross-country course for all types of runners, the route is with little gradient (+-100 m) and circular, suitable for all running fans.

The sixth edition of the Cursa de la Cervesa has been organized by Cervesa del Montseny. INVERSE and the EMD of Sant Miquel de Balenyà are collaborating.

Departure time: At 10am.

Distance: 10 kilometers.

Number of refreshments: 3 + 1 on arrival.

Difference in level: (+-)100mts.

Arrival: Company Cervesera del Montseny, Sant Miquel de Balenyà.

Time limit: 2 hours.

Registration: €18. Includes: insurance, number with chip, beer glass, gift, sausage sandwich, water and beer.

Limit of participants: 1500 people.

Regulation

To participate, the following requirements must be met:

  • Know and accept the conditions of this regulation.
  • Be informed about what the Beer Race is and have the knowledge, experience, material and physical and psychological levels necessary to be able to withstand and overcome possible problems related to the resistance, unevenness, geography and the wild environment of the race, such such as: fatigue, digestive problems, muscle and joint problems, bruises, minor injuries, cold, heat, snow, fog,…
  • Stop at all refreshments, to taste Cervesa Artesana del Montseny or other refreshments.
  • The collection of the bib must be carried out in person and by presenting the DNI, the person who owns it.
  • Cervesa del Montseny reserves the right to exclude from the Race those participants whose conduct hinders the management and/or proper functioning of the same.
  • Minors will be properly identified and no product containing alcohol will be served to them.
  • The Beer Race has 1500 seats.
  • The organization reserves the right to expand or reduce the number of places to be covered for security reasons or for other reasons that may affect the proper functioning of the race. Once the registration has been completed and accepted, 50% of the registration will be returned, up to one month before the race, as long as there is a justified reason. After this date, the registration fee will not be refunded.
  • It is mandatory to wear the bib clearly visible.
  • Each participant must follow the entire marked route, without skipping the signs and passing through all the control points.
  • Each participant is obliged to attend to the requests and questions of any commissioner, doctor, nurse or person in charge of supplies either at stipulated controls or at any other point on the route.
  • Each refreshment will have a tasting of Montseny Craft Beer and water.
  • You have to stop at all the refreshments.
  • Upon arrival at Companyia Cervesera del Montseny, participants will have an area equipped with hot food, water, medical service and beer 🍻

Clothes storage service

The Organization will also make available to the participants a permanent clothes storage service in the bib delivery area so that they can leave any material they wish to have on arrival. This material must be in a bag or backpack, which will be identified with a label provided by the Organization. Likewise, in this case, the organization will not check the condition of the bag or the material inside it, so that it will also not handle claims for breakage of the bag and/or the material inside it, or for the loss of objects that contain For this reason, it is recommended that both the bag and the material inside are not fragile or valuable and that the closure of the bag is well secured to avoid loss.

The bag can be collected until the end of the race, once this time has passed, the organization is not responsible for the material deposited in the cloakroom.

Safety and medical assistance

At the departure and arrival there will be medical teams and on the route there will be security teams coordinated by the civil protection corps.

All runners are obliged to help any other participant who needs it, within their own abilities and knowledge. Failure to do so would involve committing a serious crime of failure to provide assistance, stipulated by law.

Cervesa del Montseny always recommends a moderate consumption of beer.
